WHAT IS CRYSTAL HEALING?
Crystal healing has been around since the beginning of mankind. Did you know there are over 200 references in the bible for crystals? A few well-known examples are the Urim and Thummim (used to determine guilt or innocence), Aaron’s breastplate (which is considered to be the first crystal grid), and the twelve sacred gemstones of Revelation (which represented the twelve tribes of Israel). Crystal healing is done by holding crystals in your hands or placing them on your body to help promote physical, emotional and spiritual healing. They do this by positively interacting with your body’s energy field, or the chakras, which are various energy centers in the human body that correspond to specific nerve bundles and internal organs. Each crystal also has its own physical and metaphysical properties, along with specific areas in your life they are associated with that you may want to improve or have more of. So crystals not only help with healing, they help reduce stress, they help increase positivity, and they help promote overall health and well-being so you can live your life to the fullest.
WHAT ARE THE CHAKRAS?
Chakras are various energy centers in the human body that correspond to specific nerve bundles and internal organs. Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to specific energy points in your body. These wheels are thought to be spinning disks of energy that in order to be balanced should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to areas of our body that affect our emotional and physical well-being. When these wheels begin to close, our emotional and physical well-being then becomes unbalanced. When a chakra is under-active or low in energy, you will have difficulty expressing the positive qualities associated with that chakra. When a chakra is overactive or high in energy, you may find that you either overly express the positive qualities or exhibit some of the negative qualities associated with that chakra. It is believed there are 114 different chakras, but there are only seven main chakras that run along your spine. They are the root chakra (1st chakra), the sacral chakra (2nd chakra), the solar plexus chakra (3rd chakra), the heart chakra (4th chakra), the throat chakra (5th chakra), the third eye chakra (6th chakra) and the crown chakra (7th chakra).
